4/26/2006 Update

I cant be at the computer long becuase of the knee right now, so Im just gonna try to keep the update somewhat short.

4/25/2006 Game Updates
  • Dayton won 4-1 last night behind a great start by Johnny Cueto. Cueto went 5 innings while only allowing 3 hits, 0 walks and striking out 8. For the season Cueto has a 3.15 ERA, 14 hits allowed, 2 walks and 29 strikeouts in just 20 innings.
  • Sarasota won 6-5 last night thanks in part to a 5 run first inning. Camillo Vazquez had a decent outing, lasting 5.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits and a walk. He did strike out 6 though, and had his ERA rise to 2.66 on the season.
  • Chattanooga won 3-2 behind another good outing by Phil Dumatrait. Dumatrait went 5 innings of 7 hit, 1 walk and 1 run baseball. He struck out 4. The bullpen came on to pitch 4 innings of 1 run and 4 hit relief to close out the game and preserve the win for Dumatrait.
  • Louisville pulled out the win 8-6 over Toledo. The Bats used 6 pitchers on the day. Starter Chris Michalak allowed 6 runs in the two innings he pitched and the relievers went on to go 7 innings of 6 hit and no run baseball. Very good job by the Louisville bullpen.
