4/28/2006 Minor League Game Previews
- Dayton Dragons play at home tonight against the Peoria Chiefs at 7:00. Starting tonight is Carlos Fisher, who in his last outing was very good.Fisher went 6.1 innings, allowing just 3 hits and no runs while striking out 9 and walking 1. Jay Bruce is currently slumping, going 1 for his last 16 with 6 strikeouts. Hopefully he can see that end tonight and get back on track.
- Sarasota takes on Lakeland on the road tonight. Sam Lecure will take the hill in hopes of rebounding from his last start where he went 5 innings and gave up 4 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks. Lecure still struck out 5 batters, but would like to rebound with a nice outing tonight.
- The Chattanooga Lookouts are playing in Carolina tonight as Jung Keun Bong takes the hill for the Lookouts with a 5.93 ERA. Bong really could use a good game to lower his ERA a bit. The Lookouts are in first place and would like to continue winning by beating Carolina who is 5 games back.
- Louisville plays at Slugger Field in Louisville tonight with Mike Gosling taking the mound. Louisville is sitting at 10-12 right now, but only 1.5 games back and in second place tie with tonights opponent, the Toledo Mudhens. The Bats have two guys absolutely raking for them in Chris Denorfia and Ray Olmedo, who are hitting .373 and .356.
