Rotoworld blurb on Homer Bailey

Cincinnati - Homer Bailey is the player everyone is waiting on now, especially with Brandon Claussen (shoulder) undergoing season-ending surgery and Elizardo Ramirez getting sent down on Sunday. The 20-year-old Bailey is 7-5 with a 2.44 ERA, 80 H and 127/37 K/BB in 118 IP between Single-A Sarasota and Double-A Chattanooga this season, and he actually has a 1.14 ERA in eight starts since his promotion. His fastball-curveball combination is clearly one of the best of the minors. I don’t know that he’s actually ready for the majors, but the Reds have to chance giving him a try if they’re serious about making the playoffs. Because of his vast upside, Bailey would have to be picked up even in shallow mixed leagues if he’s recalled. …
