Reds Acquire IF/OF Jerry Gil from Diamondbacks for Abe Woody

Jerry Gil is 24 as of tomorrow. He played a majority of his season in the Southern League (AA), where he hit 26 home runs, 27 doubles and had 89 RBI.

You have to like the power he showed, but just 18 walks is not good at all. Gil played most of his games at CF, but also played 2B, SS and 3B.

Girl, as recently as 2004 was said to be the best defensive infielder and have the best infield arm (also in 2005) according to Baseball America.

In 2005 he missed most of the season with a right knee injury.
