Arizona Fall League starts today: Reds send 7 players

Well its that time again, the Arizona Fall League (AFL) rolls around for the 15th season. The Reds are sending 7 players, 4 pitchers, 3 position players to the Phoenix Desert Dogs.

Drew Anderson, 2B
Javon Moran, OF
Chris Dickerson, OF
Jon Coutlangus, P
Phil Dumatrait, P
Calvin Medlock, P
Tyler Pelland, P

The AFL is a key place for both prospects and for GM's. Players can have their stock rise by performing well, or see it drop like a ton of bricks with a bad performance. There are lots of scouts at every game and can lead to offseason trades that could help down the road even if the player can't. With the youngest Red being Pelland at 22, if any of the Reds guys fail to produce, their stock will probably slip some, as they are all a little old.

Everyday I will update with who did what for the Desert Dogs, good or bad.
